Jason Witenstein-Weaver
is a creative product design leader living and working in Seattle

My mission is to empower teams to launch transformative products that elevate human ability and delight.

Imagination inspires life.

I’ve been designing products and leading teams for over two decades, in a variety of verticals, from big tech to small startups. In that time, I’ve developed the point of view that creating delight for people comes from telling them a good story.

A good story connects people and purpose to technology.

Thoughts and Explorations

Below are a few thoughts and explorations that were meaningful to me and hopefully give you a sense of what I’m about. In those moments, understanding, imagination, innovation, and execution came together to produce real-world consumer results.

It’s light on full use cases, end to end strategy, methodologies, research, ops, impact, team scaling, and multidisciplinary leadership so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’d probably like to talk more about an opportunity for us to work together.

My Approach

Prioritize understanding of human needs to craft solutions that resonate by delivering products that set the standard for meaningful engagement.

Empathetic Design

Drive innovation that solves real problems with sustainable, lasting solutions, focusing on maximizing impact for both business and customer.

Purposeful Innovation

Foster a culture of participatory collaboration that reflects a wide range of human skills and experiences.

Brief Bio

Currently, I’m the Head of Product Design & UX at a seed stage startup focused on turning complex data problems into actionable insights through AI assisted visual data modeling.

For over ten years prior, I held many senior leadership roles at Google including Head of Strategic Partner Integration UX for Shopping, Head of Data Analytics UX for Cloud, as well as leading innovation and emergent cross organizational efforts for Travel, Social Impact and Civics.

My formative days were spent defining the streaming video and television UX ecosystem for Google TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Hillcrest Labs. I hold multiple patents in the space and almost twenty years later am still using many fruits of that labor every day.
